Well it's been awhile since I've been on here. So much has happened. I'm FINALLY on Fall Break. Two words that any college kid will love to hear. I feel like I should talk about last week since I haven't mentioned it at all!
On Tuesday, I worked, went to class, all the normal things. But I went to speak with Dr. Will Slater. He is the head of the social sciences. I scheduled a meeting with him to discuss my minor. After much deliberation with him, Dr. Lynette Jacobs-Priebe, and Prof. Heather Kootz, I decided that a sociology minor wasn't going to do much good if it killed me just trying to get it. I dropped my minor for now but who knows, I might be able to pick it up by the time I graduate. Wednesday was full of homework and classes, as always. Thursday was a crazy busy day! I worked, went to class, drove to Lima for Big Brothers Big Sisters, came back and had dinner, then ran around campus a thousand times for The Amazing Race. My roommate, our two neighbors, and two other friends on campus all teamed up to play the Amazing Race: Bluffton. It was super fun and WE WON!!! Yay! Friday was full of classes and I decided to go to colloquium. Colloquium is an arts and lecture credit but it's also just the professors speaking about what they're passionate about. Plus we get hot tea and cookies. =) Also, Fall Break started on Friday after classes, so I went home.
My fall break has been pretty uneventful. I came home Friday night and slept in my glorious glorious bed. Saturday, my father left early in the morning to attend the Ohio State game in Indiana with my uncle. (No fair) Since he was gone, my mom, sister, and I went shopping. =) We went into Columbus because it's only about a 45 to 50 minute drive from my house. We got a few nice, warm things since winter is creeping upon us extremely quick. Sunday, I got some homework done and watched Cars. I love the Disney Channel. College kids get jipped in getting the good channels. Then my family went over to my grandmother's house for her birthday and we all had pizza. So that leaves me now. It's Monday morning and I got up at 8 in the morning. I suppose I should get some more homework and things done before we get back to school. It's homecoming this week at Bluffton so there are all kinds of events going on. I'll fill you in as I go in the week. Have a great fall week wherever you are. =)
