Blessed

I've come to the conclusion that I am utterly blessed and extremely lucky to be where I am right now. Everything in my life right now seems to be going super well (knock on wood). I love my family so very much. I have two very loving, caring, and amazing parents who I KNOW would do anything and everything to provide for my sister and I. My sister and I have our days, as most siblings do, but we talk almost everyday and see each other at least once a week. We've become so much closer in the last few months. Both sides of my family are very close and even though I don't get to see them as much as I normally do, I speak with them over the phone or email them when I can. Also, though most people think this may be weird, I consider my boyfriend, Chris, as a part of the family. We've been dating for four years next month. I love his family and I know my family love him. He's been such a huge part of my life and I couldn't imagine a day without him. Everything is going really well for us and I hope to spend my life with him.

I love college. I've always wanted to go to college and better myself ever since I was in elementary school. I'm just really really really lucky to have the chance to do so, especially at a university that I LOVE. Sure, I complain sometimes for overwhelming classes and way too much homework, but I love it here. I'm pretty sure there is no better fit for me personally than Bluffton University. I can't imagine my life at all without having the experience to attend college and I'm so very thankful that I had the chance to change the course of my life. Also, I'm the first person in my family to go to college and do as well as I'm doing so I'm making my family very proud, something that I want to continue to do for the rest of my life.

Now on to friends. I've gone through many friends during my twenty years of life. Thankfully, I've found some really true and great ones. I've had my younger sister, Ashley, as a best friend for 18 years now. She will always be my number one best friend for the rest of our lives, no matter what. My best school friend from home has definitly been such a huge part of my life also. Chelsea Bray, my best school friend since 5th grade, goes to school half a state away but we still talk often. I hope we can find some time before things get much crazier to see each other. The people here at Bluffton are awesome no matter what. I've started hanging out with different people this year compared to who I was friends with this year. I was so nervous that it'd be awkward because they were friends for a whole year and then I just showed up and joined their group. Thankfully, they were extremely nice and allowed me into their group just as if I'd been there the whole time. My roommate, Sami Lawrence, is definitly becoming a person that I'd consider a best friend. Though we've only lived together 3 months, I consider her almost family.

As you can see, I, like almost every person, have something to be very thankful for. It just takes some thinking to realize how truly lucky every one of us is. Hopefully this makes you think of just how special you and your lives are. Have a fantastic day.
