It's That Time of the Year...

I know it's only the middle of November and usually I'm not like this, but I'm so VERY VERY VERY excited for Christmas time. My birthday is November 26th so I normally get really mad if people start to put up Christmas lights and decorations before then. For some odd reason, I'm extra excited and I want Christmas right NOW! This year, since things are extra tough for this college kid, I've decided to make as many gifts as I possibly can. I've already made my sister's present (a REALLY great blanket) and now my parents want one also so I'll start theirs really soon. It's starting to get pretty cool outside and I'm so ready for snow. I mean, normally (again) I don't really like snow but I'm so very ready for it. I'm excited to go to the mall and have it look and smell of Christmas. I think I like Christmas so much because I'm the kind of person who absolutely loves giving people gifts. I'd much rather give than get. I look forward to seeing the faces of the people I love glow and just be happy when they receive the presents I've given them. I put lots of extra time into what I'm buying/making people. I like to show people I love them by giving them really nice, meaningful gifts. YAY CHRISTMAS!!!!

On other news, Thanksgiving is coming up very soon. My birthday lands on Thanksgiving this year and I'm very excited to be able to see all my family and eat lots and lots of really fantastic food. I'm turning 20 this year and the best way I can celebrate a new decade of my life is to stuff my face =) Speaking of really good food, I think this Thursday, November 19 is Thanksgiving dinner on campus. I love when they make dinners on campus. Everyone is so darn good and normally we don't get this kind of food. I'm not saying the food here on campus is horrible but on special occasions, they really crank out the good stuff. So, of course, I'm super super excited.
