It's that time of the year...

TWO DAYS UNTIL THANKSGIVING BREAK!!! If you can't tell, I'm so very excited to go home for Thanksgiving break. My home is only about 45 minutes away from Bluffton but I only go home about once every few weeks. I'm so excited to be able to go home and see EVERYONE in my family. Normally, when I go home, it's just my parents that I see. This time, I get to see all my aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, everyone. I'm so so so so excited. I just feel like a break is needed anyways. I have lots of papers to be writing during this break but I'm hoping to catch up on my sleep and get them all done all at once. Also, who doesn't want to go home to have homemade yummy foods? My birthday is Thanksgiving Day this year so my family has been asking what I want for food on Thursday so hopefully my birthday will be full of ultra-yummy food.

There really hasn't been a whole lot going on on campus lately because everyone's busy finishing last minute papers, projects, etc. Last Thursday, however was Thanksgiving dinner here on campus. YUMMM. I'm not saying Marbeck's food is bad, but for special dinners, they really go all out. There's salads, rolls with cinnamon butter, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, stuffing, ham and turkey, pumpkin pie, EVERYTHING for a Thanksgiving dinner. Something extra nifty about our special dinners like this is that various administration come in to carve the turkeys, so you may be getting your turkey from the president of the university! It's truly nice to see how community-like everyone is here, no matter whether you're in administration or just a student.

My roommate left on Friday morning for an admissions conference in Pennsylvania for the entire weekend. At first, I liked having the room to myself. It was quiet and I was getting things done! But it's Sunday now and I really miss her. Thankfully, she'll be back around dinner time today. =) Miss you Sami!!
