Calm Before the Storm
Currently, it is 9:00 p.m. on a Thursday night. If it were any night before the last week of classes, there would be a good chance I would be studying, writing papers, or just doing any general homework. Instead, I'm sitting around drinking hot chocolate and sucking on a candy cane. Now this is the life. I somewhat wish this would be how all of the weekdays would be like in college. How fantastic. Now this is the calm before the storm. In four days, I, along with my fellow Beavers, will begin our packed-full week of finals. What joy. No really, I'm ready to just start them and get them over with to finish this semester strong. This semester has been completely different than I'd ever imagined it. I have a different roommate than I had last year and I LOVE HER so very much. She's probably my bestest friend on campus. Like a few weeks into school, we discussed her partaking in my wedding. THAT'S how much I love her. :) Also, since rooming with her, I also got two wonderful neighbors and some pretty awesome guy friends as well. This year, I've become friends more with the people on campus. I feel like I was pretty quiet and lonesome last year and I've blossomed to my full potential with these wonderful people. Also, I declared a new major at the end of last year, leaving lots of new clases for me this semester. I've thoroughly enjoyed all of my Psychology and Social Work classes. I started a new job on campus this year, working in the Psychology Department and of course, blogging for the website. I absolutely love both of these jobs. Finally, I decided to overload on the credits I'm taking this semester. I was really worried about not doing as well taking more classes than I'd normally take. I've decided to overload again this spring semester so that I become caught up on both of my majors. This semester has been fantastic for me, even with all of the ups and downs. I couldn't be any more thankful. Now all I have to do is plow through the next week of finals and it's all over. Let's hope next semester can be equally good, if not better. :)
