Spring at Bluffton

I've been noticing some things that are just SCREAMING spring here on campus. Here's a list of things that mean spring if you live at Bluffton University:

  1. Three letters: TBG. Tennis Ball Golf has been a sport for any Bluffton student since I arrived on campus. I had never heard of it before college but now I love it. What TBG is that you grab a group of friends and some golf clubs and walk around campus hitting a tennis ball into the designated "holes." We don't have real holes but there's an imaginary course on campus that anyone who's ever played before knows. It winds all around campus and it's just a good old game to play with friends when the weather is nice, which it has been this last week. That means TBG groups have been whacking tennis balls all over campus so spring has to be coming! :)
  2. Tulips are starting to pop up all over campus. The actual flower isn't quite there yet but you can see the buds finally coming up out of the ground. It's so exciting because that means I'm not just imagining things. Spring is actually coming!
  3. You start to see flip-flops more than snow boots. Since Bluffton is located in northwest Ohio, those are pretty much the only kinds of shoes you need. We go straight from warm weather to freezing weather and back to warm again. YAY for flip-flops.
  4. Students (and even professors) start to get anxious in the classrooms when the sun is shining and it's a beautiful day outside. I've had a couple of different professors decide to have class outside when it's so nice, which is awesome. I've seen a couple classes outside already this semester.
  5. March 20th is technically the beginning of spring, which means the weather is ahead for once. Let's just hope this all lasts. Everyone loves warm weather so let's keep this up so everyone continues to be excited and happy about everything.

LET'S GO SPRING! HURRY UP AND GET HERE AND STAY PLEASE!!!!
